Local Distillery Toasts New Minority Partner

University of Texas graduate Henning Kreke, board member of German-based beauty retailer Douglas GmbH, acquired a minority stake in San Antonio-based Rebecca Creek. The $15 million investment will provide the craft distillery with money to create new jobs, and to move forward with plans to build a new, state-of-the-art distillery that will more than quadruple its current production capability. A timeline for construction on the new facility was not disclosed.

The distillery, launched in 2009, plans to produce more than 100,000 annual cases of Rebecca Creek Fine Texas Whiskey, the company’s flagship liquor, as well as its Enchanted Rock Vodka, Texas Ranger Whiskey and other limited-edition, single-batch spirits.
