LMU Takes Space at The Brickyard
Loyola Marymount University signed a 12-year, 50,092-square-foot lease at Tishman Speyer’s The Brickyard in Playa Vista, CA. LMU’s School of Film and Television graduate programs will take occupancy in June 2017 at the recently completed 425,300-square-foot project.
The Jesuit university plans to create spaces for academic and creative activities and events at the Silicon Beach site. LMU’s new Playa Vista campus is slated to open in fall 2018, and marks the school’s first major expansion project since 1999.
The Brickyard is a creative office complex that includes two contemporary buildings next to Playa Vista Central Park. It features on-site retail options, outdoor dining and meeting areas, large rooftop terraces, daycare facilities, parking, and bike storage with changing areas and showers.
LA Realty Partners’ Lisa St. John and Peter Best represented the tenant. The landlord was represented in-house by John Ollen and Patrick Nally.
