L+M, Osborne Close $126M Financing for BK Apt Building

L+M Development Partners and Osborne Association closed a $126 million deal to develop Marcus Garvey Extension Phase 2 Buildings C/E in Brownsville, Brooklyn. The project includes 178 affordable apartments, with 88 as supportive housing for re-entering individuals under ESSHI, with on-site support by Osborne Association.

Buildings C/E will offer apartments for households with incomes from 40% to 70% of AMI, featuring amenities like laundry rooms, community spaces, and courtyards. Services include workforce development, family coaching, and health services. Both buildings will be all-electric with geothermal systems.

“The closing of Buildings C/E marks the final step of completing Phase 2 of the Marcus Garvey Extension Project, a project that will provide necessary affordable and supportive housing to the Brownsville community,” said Elaine Braithwaite, managing director at L+M Development Partners. The project will meet green standards and provide community facility space and parking.
