2nd Costco slated for Littleton

Littleton Adding Costco, Apartments

A development group is looking to build a 159,000-square-foot Costco Wholesale store and a residential project in Littleton, CO.

The Denver Business Journal reports Republic Investment Group is working with the city of Littleton on the venture that will enable the developer to demolish a now-empty 400,000 two-story office building once occupied by Lumen Technologies to make way for the mixed-use project.

Current zoning at the Costco site allows for warehouse retail on 18 acres and will include a gas station with 32 fueling positions. The parking lot would be large enough for 857 cars. It would be the town’s second Costco. Costco says it will open roughly 24 new locations in the US and seven international warehouses.

Embrey will helm the multifamily project, consisting of a 370-unit community of two- and three-story apartments. Amenities would include a pool, fitness center and outdoor sports courts.
