Lionchase to Build 200K-SF Spec Cold Storage Facility

Lionchase Holdings Inc. is planning to develop a 200,000-square-foot, speculative cold-storage facility in the TexAmericas Center. The 12,000-acremixed-use industrial park is in New Boston, TX, west of Texarkana. The project is anticipated to create a minimum of 100 full-time, permanent jobs, and will go north for a cost of $20 million.

Lionchase, a privately held asset management company, proposed a facility with energy saving technologies, as well as:

• 55-foot ceilings

• 135,000 square feet of refrigeration and freezer floor space

• Dry storage

• Blast freezing and pre-cooling

• Third-party logistics processing and packaging services

Construction on the facility is scheduled to start in fall 2018, with completion anticipated by December 2019. Chris Copenhaver with Cushman & Wakefield is handling leasing.
