LINE FRIENDS Prepares for Times Square Flagship Store
LINE FRIENDS signed a 10-year lease for the 4,629-square-foot storefront at 1515 Broadway in the heart of Times Square — called “The Bowtie” for the shape of the two triangles formed by the intersection of Seventh Avenue and Broadway.
The shop will have 65 feet of wraparound frontage, and the exclusive use of 1,314 square feet of LED signage.
“This premier Bowtie location will be LINE FRIENDS’ first American flagship,” said Brett Herschenfeld, managing director with landlord SL Green. “It provides the brand with unparalleled 24/7 exposure to pedestrian traffic, as well as LED signage ideal for showcasing the company’s retail products that complement its digital application.”
LINE FRIENDS started as a graphic element of LINE, a top mobile messenger application with 220 million active users, many of whom add images of the 11 LINE FRIENDS characters to their messages.
