A new major housing project is in the works for the San Diego area. The proposal, which features 1,700 homes, and is anchored by developer The Accretive Group, has gotten approval by the San Diego County Planning Commission.
The development is called Lilac Hills Ranch, and the housing is being touted as an energy efficient complex. It has take five years for this project to get approval after several thousand public comments. Some Valley Center residents are against it due to concerns about over development.
