Lightbridge Academy to Open First Location in Maryland

Lightbridge Academy franchise owner Sakaar, a partnership among Pratik Chandarana, Laxmi Kommana, Avni Patel and Srikanth Somaysula, has signed a lease for 10,288 square feet of space at Padonia Village Shopping Center in Maryland to open a childcare and early education center.

This marks the first Lightbridge Academy location in Maryland and adds to the more than 70 locations the franchise has in 13 states across the U.S. The shopping center, which is anchored by Lidl, can accommodate approximately 135 students and features a 6,000-square-foot outdoor play area.

“With the franchise rights for Maryland and parts of Northern Virginia, we wanted to make sure that our first site provided us with the foundation for long-term success, and we believe that Padonia Village incorporates every element needed to accomplish this,” stated Avni Patel.

Blake Dickinson and Dominique Threatt of CRC, represented the landlord. Santo Perri of A Premier Real Estate Agency represented the tenant in this lease transaction.
