Life Sciences Firm Takes 95K SF in Sorrento Valley

Maravai LifeSciences plans to relocate and expand its TriLink BioTechnologies operations with the signing of a 95,000-square-foot lease on a new facility in San Diego’s Sorrento Valley. TriLink will be the lead tenant in the 180,000-square-foot building, which is located at 10770 Wateridge Circle.

The move will begin in the fall of 2019, with completion by the end of the year. Maravai LifeSciences corporate HQ will also relocate to the new building.

The new facility will house the company’s current local staff of more than 150, and can accommodate growth to more than 350 R&D, commercial and manufacturing employees.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Ted Jacobs, who represented the tenant, says, “Worth noting is because the market is so tight, once a tenant grows to over 50,000 square feet, existing building options for life sciences users are scarce, and most companies do not have the luxury to wait for a built-to-suit ground-up development.”

JLL’s Tim Olson, Grant Schoneman and Chad Urie represented the landlord, Bollert, LeBeau and Singerman Real Estate.
