Employees of Lendlease and McHugh Construction celebrated Construction Safety Week with events in New York and Chicago

Lendlease, McHugh Employees Celebrate Construction Safety Week

Lendlease and McHugh Construction joined contractors across the country May 1-5 in celebrating Construction Safety Week and participating in OSHA’s National Safety Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction. Employees gathered on jobsites to discuss fall prevention, safety precautions, mental health and the week’s motto, “Strong Voices, Safe Choices.”

In New York, Lendlease employees participated in Construction Safety Week events at 310 Hudson and St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Manhattan and 211 Station Rd. in Mineola, where the firm is building a facility for NYU Langone Medical Center.

Chicago-based McHugh Construction employees gathered at its 225 N. Elizabeth jobsite in Chicago (pictured) for a talk on fall hazards and fall protection and a demonstration from DeWalt Tools; and at its Ogden Commons project at 1325 S. Washtenaw Ave., where Jet Tools gave a demonstration to approximately 40 workers.
