LendingTree Relocates HQ to Charlotte’s Hot South End District
The Spectrum Companies signed a headquarters relocation deal with LendingTree at its new five-acre mixed-use development in Charlotte, NC’s South End. The online lending marketplace will occupy 175,000 square feet in the project’s first office building, with a formal groundbreaking set for June and completion anticipated for late 2020.
Located on South Tryon Street at Carson Boulevard, the project will include two 11-story office buildings totaling 580,000 square feet, an expansive urban courtyard, 50,000 square feet of experiential retail space and a 200-room boutique hotel near the Carson light rail stop and on the doorstep of Uptown.
The tenant, which is moving from Charlotte’s Ballantyne submarket, was represented by CBRE’s Rob Hinton and Mike Fahey. The landlord was advised by Spectrum’s John Boylan and Dillard Williams.
