Lefty’s Famous Cheesesteaks Set to Open SoCal Flagship in 2021

Lefty’s Famous Cheesesteak & Grill recently inked an end cap space at 2071 E. Highland Ave. in San Bernardino. Lefty’s is embarking on an aggressive expansion and this will be its flagship Southern California location upon opening later this year.

The fast-casual restaurant will operate in a three-tenant building which is located in a Cardenas and Planet Fitness-anchored shopping center at the signalized intersection of Highland and Sterling avenues less than one-fourth mile from the I-210 freeway. Lefty’s will join a Starbucks drive-thru and Cricket Wireless store in the 100 percent leased pad building, which is also directly adjacent to a recently opened Wendy’s drive-thru.

The restaurant serves lunch and dinner, and customers have a choice of dine-in or take-out.

Lefty’s was founded in Detroit in 2009 by accomplished restaurateur Sam Berry. Inspired by his own left-handedness, Berry named the restaurant Lefty’s and elements of the décor celebrate this theme, including pictures of famous lefties such as Oprah Winfrey and Bill Gates.
