LEED ND Gold for Station Park Green
Station Park Green is a mixed-use project in San Mateo, CA slated to deliver in phases later this year and in Q1 2019. Essex’ 599-unit residential development is already a high achiever.
MVE + Partners’ Darin Schoolmeester, who’s speaking at Connect San Francisco next month, notes it is only the second project in the nation to achieve a Stage 1 Gold rating under a pilot USGBC LEED for Neighborhood Development program.
Projects are recognized for protecting and enhancing both the overall health of members and their quality of life, as well as the environment. Station Park Green, which incorporates office and retail uses, is cited as a “stunning plan” for transit-oriented development by environmental groups.
Station Park Green scores high in four key LEED ND categories:
- Location and design reduces vehicle miles travelled
- Jobs and services accessible by foot/public transit
- Buildings follow green infrastructure practices
- Public areas include parks and green space
