Lee & Associates PNW Caps Off Busy Quarter

Lee & Associates Commercial Real Estate Services added 12 people (nine brokers and three staff members) in January and February of 2021 alone in its Pacific Northwest offices. John Bauder, Harrison Laird and Yeh-Hee Hahn, all formerly of CBRE Inc., joined Lee & Associates in the Tacoma office. The other brokers joining the firm are Troy Gessel, Jim Reed, Aaron Mathieu and Kane Johnson, all coming over from AGM, plus Dea Sumantri and Levi Sterley who joined as part of the multifamily group.

“Lee & Associates has a strong national platform with a tailored boutique approach in each market,” Laird said of the move. “We feel that this move will provide us an opportunity to better serve our clients.”

Along with the brokerage and staffing additions, the Lee & Associates Pacific Northwest team has been busy with transactions, having completed nearly $420 million since the beginning of 2021. Among the recent transactions was the Intracorp Industrial Center sale at 6700 Hardeson Rd. in Everett, which was acquired at the end of 2020 for $23.1 million, one of three deals Lee & Associates handled with client Elion Partners. The other two Elion transactions were the Ryerson Building at 600 SW 10th St. and 555 Monster Rd., both in Renton, which were purchased for $27.65 million and $47.5 million, respectively.

Lee & Associates opened its doors in the Pacific Northwest in January 2017 with just one office and three brokers. According to Jim Bowles, regional president of Lee & Associates, Lee has since achieved significant yet deliberate regional growth. With a current total of 38 producing brokers, Lee & Associates is serving the entire Puget Sound area from the three offices in Seattle, Tacoma and Bellevue.

“We have been very impressed with Lee & Associates’ commitment to creating a full-service customer-focused team,” Bauder says. “We are also impressed with the fact that Lee’s local offices are owned and operated by a group of very experienced partners who are passionately creating a great place to work while focusing on customer service. Lee’s client-first approach and team mentality is a great fit for us.”
