Leases Push 2M-SF Office Tower to 98% Occupancy
A leading global law firm signed a 15-year lease at 1251 Avenue of the Americas, a landmark office tower at Rockefeller Center in Midtown. The Midtown high-rise is now 98% leased — significantly better than the average occupancy rate in the neighborhood, according to several research firms.
McGuireWoods LLP, will occupy a 1,659-square-foot part of the concourse level along with the entire 41,900-square-foot 20th floor. Chris Mongeluzo and Brian Cohen of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank represented McGuireWoods.
Additionally, Berenberg Capital Markets, a wholly owned subsidiary of German bank Berenberg, also recently signed a lease for a full floor at the more than 2-million-square-foot property.
“Both tenants exemplify the kind of leading companies that have enjoyed great success at 1251,” said Christopher N. Perez, senior vice president of building owner Mitsui Fudosan America, Inc.
