Lease Prompts Construction at Brazos Town Center

A new lease for Old Navy prompted developer NewQuest Properties to begin construction on a 12,500-square-foot retail building at Brazos Town Center in Rosenberg, TX. The space, tucked between Kohl’s and Gordman’s in the development’s first phase, is anticipated for completion in February 2019.

NewQuest’s Bob Conwell and Austen Baldridge represented the developer. Culver Stedman of Edge Realty Partners negotiated on behalf of San Francisco-based Old Navy.

The 550-acre Brazos Town Center is the Houston-based NewQuest’s largest property, with more than two million square feet of regional and national retail, restaurants and entertainment venues. The two-phase development is at Interstate 69, U.S. 59 and Farm-to-Market Road 762, 25 miles west of Houston, and is home to many national and regional anchors and junior anchors.

“By far, Brazos Town Center has exceeded our expectations,” Conwell said, adding that Old Navy leased one of the few remaining junior anchor spaces in the project.
