Lease is First High Desert Location for Grocery Outlet
Grocery Outlet recently inked a 16,130-square-foot anchor lease in the 140,000-square-foot Hi Desert Plaza at 12240 Hesperia Rd. in Victorville. This will be the chain’s first High Desert store.
Grocery Outlet’s modern prototype is expected to open this summer and will join DD’s Discounts, Dollar Tree, Aaron’s, Goodwill, Bank of America, and other shops, services and eateries at the community center. Hi Desert Plaza is located along a major retail corridor at the corner of Hesperia Road and Bear Valley Road with visibility to some 72,000 cars per day. In addition, the center is in a densely populated area with more than 177,000 people in a five-mile radius and draws from Desert Valley Medical Center, Victor Valley Community College, and multiple local office and industrial parks.
Progressive Real Estate Partners’ Brad Umansky and Paul Su marketed the property and represented the landlord, BH Properties in the transaction. Grocery Outlet was represented by Townsand Cropsey and Garrett Colburn of SRS Real Estate Partners in Newport Beach.
Lisa Brown has decades of experience in corporate communications and marketing management with organizations including Coldwell Banker Residential, Grubb & Ellis, Marcus & Millichap, NAIOP, SIOR and ALM.
In those positions, she worked in conjunction with chief executive officers and chief marketing officers to create corporate messaging, cohesive branding standards, strategic marketing plans and thought pieces. Brown is a frequent speaker at industry events and an editing adjunct professor for an online course. She has a master’s degree in mass communications from San Jose State University.
