Lease Closes Quickly for Hell’s Kitchen French Brasserie

It only took 18 days to arrange the lease for Le Privé French Brasserie, created by Sanjay Laforest, at the restaurant’s new home at 626 Tenth Ave. in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood.

“We had been looking for a location for Sanjay’s restaurant for several months and when we learned that this space at 626 Tenth Avenue was becoming available, we immediately contacted the owner,” said James Famularo, senior director and principal for Eastern Consolidated’s Retail Leasing Division, which represented both the landlord and the restaurant.

“We knew it would be perfect. We were able to close the deal in less than three weeks, which included getting approval from Community Board 4,” said Famularo.

The restaurant will open this fall in its new 3,000-square-foot space, including a rear courtyard, the former site of the restaurant Hallo Berlin (pictured).
