League City Retail Center Picked Up by Baker Katz

One of the prospective buyers saw that nearby road construction was likely limiting the potential of a nearby 108,000 square foot retail center. So, just before the construction ended, buyer Jason Baker pounced, “This side, and the retailers down here on the stretch of I-45, has effectively been in a construction zone for more than two years. We felt the timing was really good to get our arms around this and…be positioned for the future.”

The center, called Pecan Plaza, is about 80% leased out to tenants such as Jumping World Indoor Trampoline Park, Hertz, Dollar Tree and Kolache Factory. After some improvements are made the owners expect occupancy to go up. It’s near two other center that are expanding their offerings.

Baker and his partner, Kenneth Katz have over 100 properties, mostly in the Greater Houston area.
