Lazy Dog Plans Corona Opening

Costa Mesa, CA-based restaurant chain Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar is gearing up to open a new restaurant in Corona, CA at the Corona Hills Plaza retail center. The latest outpost is hiring 200 people to staff a location at 380 McKinley St.

The Corona location is planned to open next month on a site that formerly housed a Claim Jumper restaurant, which closed late last year. Another restaurant in the Inland Empire at Montclair Place, 6050 East Montclair Plaza Lane, is slated to open early next year.

Lazy Dog restaurants are designed to feel like a Rocky Mountain Wyoming escape, including lodge-inspired furnishings, cozy fireplaces, ledge stone, a chandelier crafted from Aspen logs, and artwork reminiscent of the Cowboy State. It also has dog-friendly patios. The first Lazy Dog restaurant opened in Huntington Beach in 2003, and the chain has grown to more than 30 locations nationwide.
