Lawyers in Real Estate 2020: Bryan Cave’s Sonia Kaur Bain

As a partner at Bryan Cave LLP, Sonia Kaur Bain represents developers, retail companies, hotel groups, landlords and tenants, and family offices with acquisitions, dispositions, development, ground and space leases, financing and leasing of numerous types of commercial real estate assets including mixed-use, residential, retail, hotel and industrial properties in New York City and also across the country.

Clients engage with Bain for her noteworthy legal prowess and they value her for her thoughtful guidance, counsel and partnership. Clients are known to often come to her to think through strategies and help them make decisions that are best for their business.

In addition to her legal and business advice, Bain is also frequently sought-after as a speaker, moderator and panelist on topics relating to the real estate industry. She is also passionate about mentorship and especially active in mentoring women entering their careers in the real estate industry.

Bain has been recognized by her peers as a natural team builder who enjoys making introductions and connecting people in social as well as business settings. She excels at bringing together individuals from different focus areas with different skill sets and motivating them to feel vested not just in their specific roles but also in the client’s end goal.

It’s for these reasons that we named Sonia Kaur Bain to our inaugural grouping of Lawyers in Real Estate. These are real estate attorneys who have distinguished themselves in both their practice and the larger community.
