Law Firm Subleases Space, Reduces RE Footprint

Thompson & Knight LLP signed a lease for approximately 70,000 square feet at BG Group Place in downtown Houston. The space the law firm will occupy is part of the more than 900,000 square feet at 811 Main St. that BG Group plc announced in May 2016 it would vacate by the end of the year.

The move also represents a downsize for Thompson & Knight, as it will leave its current 108,000-square-foot space at Three Allen Center. The law firm has been at 333 Clay St. since 2002, and the lease at Three Allen expires in September 2017. Thompson & Knight will move to BG Group Place in summer 2017. CBRE’s Kevin Kushner, Charles Gordon and Lucian Bukowski represented Thompson & Knight.
