Law Firm Renews for 205K-SF at One Financial Center

Mintz Levin renewed its lease through 2034 at One Financial Center, a 46-story, office tower in downtown Boston. The law firm is downsizing from roughly 250,000 square feet to 205,000 square feet at the 1.3-million-square-foot office building.

The location at Summer Street and Atlantic Avenue is a good fit for the roughly 270 lawyers the firm has in Boston, since it is near clients and most importantly is across from South Station. The office will be reconfigured into more efficient and modern space next year, including an expansion of conference facilities, though attorneys’ offices will be reduced.

Mintz Levin considered building new space, but ultimately the comfort and convenience won out over the expense. The law firm has occupied space at the 1980s-era tower for the past three decades.

NGKF’s Bill Anderson, Dave Martel and Ali Cavanaugh handle leasing at the asset.
