Law Firm Re-Ups, Expands at Graybar Building
Business law firm Cohen, Tauber, Spievack & Wagner has stayed on at SL Green Realty Corp.’s 420 Lexington Ave., also known as the Graybar Building, with a deal for 11,430 square feet. The renewal, expansion and relocation within the property runs for 15 years.
A Cushman & Wakefield team of Alan Wildes, Mark Weiss, Robert Baraf, and Gary Ceder represented the law firm. “After a full search, the tenant decided to remain in the Graybar Building, given the quality of the landlord, the newly-designed space and the centrality of the building,” said Wildes.
The tenant roster at the 31-story, 1.5-million-square-foot tower includes New York Life Insurance and the Metroplitan Transportation Authority’s Metro-North Commuter Railroad, as well as SL Green itself. Dating from 1927 and formerly the headquarters of the Graybar Electric Company, the East Midtown property offers direct access to Grand Central Terminal.
