Law Firm McDermott Leases 7 Floors at BXP’s New 343 Madison Ave.

BXP said Tuesday that law firm McDermott Will & Schulte has signed a lease for approximately 150,000 square feet at 343 Madison Ave. The firm will occupy floors 31 through 37 of the 930,000-square-foot office tower, currently under construction in Midtown Manhattan and offering direct connectivity to Grand Central Terminal. With the McDermott lease and Starr’ expansion to 320,000 square feet, the property is now 56% pre-leased.

“McDermott Will & Schulte’s commitment to 343 Madison Ave. underscores the building’s strong leasing momentum and the sustained flight to quality shaping the market,” said Hilary Spann, EVP, New York Region, BXP. “Midtown Manhattan and the  Grand Central corridor have continued to outperform as demand concentrates around best-in-class assets with exceptional transit access. As companies prioritize workplaces that drive talent attraction and retention, 343 Madison offers a rare combination of connectivity, flexibility and premier amenities in the heart of Manhattan.”

McDermott’s lease is a component of its campus strategy, linking occupancy in an adjacent property through Grand Central and providing a client hub at the center of the global private capital ecosystem. The firm expects to begin occupying the new space in October 2029.
