Law Firm McCarter & English Relocates Boston Offices to International Place

The Chiofaro Company and PGIM Real Estate said Thursday that national law firm McCarter & English has signed an 11-year lease for 47,466 square feet at One International Place. The firm will relocate its Boston office from 265 Franklin St. to International Place, now undergoing a $100-million makeover, in May of 2027.

“McCarter & English’s decision to relocate to International Place is a powerful endorsement of the transformation underway across the property,” said Donald Chiofaro Jr, VP of The Chiofaro Company. “As we near completion of this reinvestment, we are seeing leading firms like McCarter & English choose International Place not just for its location, but for the elevated, amenity-rich environment that supports how people want to work today.”

The transaction was brokered by Debra Gould and Alison Cavanaugh with Newmark. Lease negotiations were managed by McCarter & English partner Cynthia Keliher on behalf of the firm and Geoffrey Howell from DLA Piper on behalf of The Chiofaro Company.
