Las Vegas’ Silverton Casino Adding Apartment Complex

A five-story, 290-unit apartment complex would be built next to the Silverton Hotel-Casino’s parking garage. Public records indicate plans call for the complex to include a covered driveway entrance, an indoor golf simulator, a courtyard with hammocks and bocce ball area and units ranging from 600 to 1,346 square feet.

The casino/multifamily community blend is becoming a trend in Las Vegas. Apartment developer The Calida Group opened a 286-unit rental complex next to the Palms last year. Ovation Development also filed plans with the city of Henderson last year for a 55-and-older 249-unit apartment complex behind Sunset Station. 

Other changes at the Silverton are in the works. Its 300-room hotel closed this summer for a $45 million overhaul. The adjacent pool deck was also put out of service for the project, but the rest of the resort, including the casino, restaurants and aquarium attraction, will remain open during the renovations.

The hotel and pool are scheduled to reopen early next year.
