Landsea, DNA Break Ground on 540 Sixth Condos

Landsea Homes and DNA Development broke ground on 540 Sixth Ave., their 12- story mixed-use development at the corner of 14th Street and Sixth Avenue. Sales on the project’s 50 residential condominiums are slated to begin in spring 2020.

“Located at the nexus of three desirable downtown neighborhoods – Flatiron, Chelsea and Greenwich Village – 540 Sixth Ave. is well-positioned to raise the bar for luxury living,” said John Ho, CEO of Landsea Homes. “We look forward to delivering a distinctive building that will connect with this vibrant corner.”

The project marks Landsea’s second ground-up development in Manhattan, following the late 2018 launch of construction on luxury condos at 212 W. 93rd St. DNA is wrapping up a luxury condo conversion with 38 homes at 350 W. 71st St., also on the Upper West Side.

The two companies acquired the 540 Sixth site from Extell Development last year.
