Landmark Theatres Leases Playhouse 7 in Pasadena
Landmark Theatres has announced it has entered into a long-term lease agreement for the Playhouse 7 cinema in Pasadena, CA. The 7-screen, 1300 seat venue will reopen this summer in the city’s arts and culture district.
“The Playhouse 7 acquisition is important for Landmark, as we’re able to continue the tradition of showcasing quality film to Pasadena’s moviegoing community. This Theatre has a deep history, which we look forward to honoring and building upon in the years ahead,” said Landmark’s President, Kevin Holloway.
JLL’s Scott Burns and Richard Bright assisted Landmark in securing the lease. Burns said in a news release, “Landmark Theatres is the perfect partner for the city of Pasadena as it continues to grow its arts and culture district.”
Landmark plans on upgrading the theatre’s sound and projection systems and will install modern comfortable seating. The concession stand will offer some new gourmet and healthy food items alongside traditional favorites, and a fully stocked liquor cabinet is also planned.
