Landmark Properties and JV partner Manulife Investment Management are building an 890-bed student housing project near the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT.

Landmark Properties, Manulife Investment Management Create Student Housing JV

Athens, Ga-based Landmark Properties, a real estate firm specializing in development, construction, investment management and operation of residential communities, has formed a new build-to-core joint venture.

The company’s partnership with Manulife Investment Management will focus on developing and operating residential properties in targeted markets throughout the United States and is starting with The Standard at Four Corners, an 890-bed project near the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT.

The Standard at Four Corners, located at 1717 Storrs Road, will be ready for occupancy in August 2025. The property will offer several distinct floorplans ranging from studio to three-bedroom along with 24-hour study lounges, fitness center, computer lab, gaming lounge, heated pool, hot tub, and fire pits.

Landmark Properties has more than $10 billion assets under management across 100 residential communities with approximately 60,000 beds. The company currently has 21 student, BTR, and multifamily projects under construction with an estimated value at $3.7 billion.
