Landmark at Otay Lands Its First 153K-SF Tenant

A 153,000-square-foot freestanding industrial building was recently leased in Landmark at Otay, a 50-acre park currently being built by Majestic Realty Co. and Sunroad Enterprises. The property located at 1701 Landmark Rd. is the first building to be leased in the four-building 845,830-square-foot project.

“In addition to best-in-class design such as ESFR sprinklers, LED lighting, 32-foot and 36-foot clear height, the property features freeway frontage, SUPERFLAT warehouse floors, building-wide clerestory windows and a perfect central Otay location,” says Chris Holder of Colliers, addressing the project’s strong attraction to industrial occupiers.

Colliers’ Holder, Mark Lewkowitz and Will Holder represented Majestic Realty Co. and Sunroad Enterprises in the five-year $8 million lease. Regan Tully of Cushman & Wakefield represented the tenant, RL Jones Customhouse Brokers.

With 4 million square feet of construction completed and 3,630,000 of net absorption year-to-date, Otay Mesa continues to be one of the most active markets in the county for new development and leasing activity.
