Landmark at Otay is On Track for the Coming Year

With preleases and strong tenant demand collectively under the belt, Majestic Realty Co. and Sunroad Enterprises broke ground on the Landmark at Otay development in January. The 50-acre master-planned industrial park at the intersection of SR-905 and SR-125 will encompass 845,830 square feet of class-A warehouse and distribution space spread across four divisible buildings. The spec construction buildings, ranging in size from 153,630 to 240,975 square feet, are scheduled for completion in late 2021 and will deliver highly sought-after warehouse and distribution buildings with adaptability to accommodate and provide solutions for a wide range of users, according to the development team.

Phase 1 of the project includes two buildings totaling 369,770 square feet while phase 2 will add two additional buildings totaling 476,060 square feet. Phase 2 construction is slated for completion in summer 2022.

The partnership of Majestic Realty Co. and Sunroad Enterprises has experienced success with these types of industrial developments due to the continued low inventory throughout the market, significant tenant demand and amenity options. In April 2021, Colliers achieved full occupancy of the partnership’s Sunroad Majestic Center after completing four separate lease transactions prior to the completion of construction.
