Lactalis Establishes Midwest Headquarters at 540 W. Madison

Savills vice chairman Lisa Davidson represented Lactalis Heritage Dairy, the US subsidiary of Lactalis Group, the French-based world leader in dairy, in a multi-year lease transaction at 540 W. Madison St. in Chicago’s West Loop. The 35,000-square-foot headquarters, which follows Lactalis’ acquisition of a portfolio of Kraft Heinz’s cheese businesses, will serve as the company’s first Midwest location.
Occupying the former offices of iManage, Lactalis’ 540 W. Madison space will include a test kitchen and additional private offices. Savills senior managing director Rich Dale will oversee project management for the buildout.
“The West Loop continues to be a desirable destination for companies looking to be near commuter trains and the area’s dynamic offerings as people begin to return to the office,” said Davidson. “540 W. Madison’s optimal location along with the existing infrastructure in the former iManage offices made this space ideal for Lactalis’ first Chicago headquarters.”
