LA Planning Commission Okays New Hollywood Offices
Plans for a new nine-story office building in Hollywood geared toward the entertainment and creative industries have been approved by the Los Angeles City Planning Commission. The proposal by property owner Matt Cooper, co-owner of Immersive Fuel, and his development partner MGMT Partners call for the 0.78-acre site at 1000 Seward St. to be transformed into an approximately 150,000-square-foot office building with ground-floor retail space and a rooftop restaurant/entertainment/hospitality use.
“Despite the challenging times for the office sector, we believe there is an appetite for new Class A office space in the greater Hollywood area, especially well-designed space that offers thoughtful tenant amenities, “said Cooper, who has a long and successful track record as a Hollywood stakeholder and entertainment industry veteran.
He added, “Hollywood’s well-deserved reputation as the entertainment capital of the world will only be burnished by exciting new spaces for creative people to call home.”
