Los Angeles is transferring ownership of the L.A./Ontario International Airport back to the City of Ontario. The move takes place after Los Angeles World Airports started operating the facility back in 1967 and full ownership in 1985.
Ontario sued the organization after passenger-traffic allegedly declined by from 7.2-million people in 2007 to 4.2 million five years later. A trial was scheduled later this month at Riverside County Superior Court.
Supposedly the the Federal Aviation Administration still needs to approve the transfer.
