Kyle Will Get its First Active-Adult Community

Sparrow Partners will break ground next week on the first 55+ active adult community in the Austin suburb of Kyle. The first residents are scheduled to move in at the six-acre property toward the end of 2021.

Located in the mixed-use master-planned community of Plum Creek, the 185-unit Sage Plum Creek community will be Austin-based Sparrow’s second development in Central Texas, which has one of the nation’s fastest-growing populations age 65 and older.

“Kyle is growing rapidly as more and more people move to escape rising housing costs in Austin and more older adults move to be closer to their children and grandchildren,” said Sparrow CEO Jeff Patterson. “Sage Plum Creek will offer the only true active adult community in this area at a location that allows residents to walk to amenities and services and feel like part of a vibrant community.”
