KWA Completes Phase II of Sherman Student Housing

Dallas-based KWA Construction has finalized construction on Phase II of the new on-campus student housing units for Austin College, a liberal arts college in Sherman. The three-story North Flats building is 43,613 square feet with 38 additional units. KWA completed Phase I in 2011.
“Returning to Austin College nearly 10 years after completing Phase I is a true testament to our lasting business relationship with our clients,” said Brian Webster, president of KWA Construction.

He added, “KWA was specifically selected because of the performance of the previous phase. This student housing project required a quick turnaround to ensure timely completion and adequately prepare the college for fall semester move-ins.”

Construction began in late July 2019 and was completed in July of this year, in time for fall classes to begin on August 25.
