Kurve on Wilshire Welcomes New Residents

Residents have begun moving into the first 200 units at Kurve on Wilshire, the $300 million development located on the border of Koreatown and downtown, Los Angeles. The 23-story complex located at 2801 Sunset Pl. is under development by Hankey Investment Company and Jamison Properties.

“Seeing residents move into this iconic structure is truly a milestone for us,” said Scott Dobbins, president of Hankey Investment Company. “Kurve on Wilshire embraces a lifestyle that many residents are seeking, particularly given the impact of the pandemic. No doubt this has changed the Los Angeles landscape for decades to come.”

Located on the corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Hoover Street, the project is just a few blocks east of the Los Angeles Metro Red Line stop at the corner of Vermont Avenue and Wilshire Boulevard. The design of the 23-story tower creates a unique footprint specifically engineered to avoid casting shade on nearby parks.

Kurve’s 1-acre rooftop park and pool area sit on top of the podium that houses the parking garage with 1,100 spaces. A wide variety of amenities can be found on the rooftop.

“This is truly one of the most extensive amenity collections in Los Angeles at a time when it’s needed the most,” says Dobbins. “It will surely become a magnet for those seeking a living environment that is in the heart of the city, yet offers social distancing activities and space for privacy.”

Apartments range from studios to three-bedroom two-story penthouses. Residences range from $2,400 per month for a studio to $31,000 per month for a three-bedroom penthouse.

The project will also include 15,000 square feet of street-level retail catering to residents, locals and Koreatown visitors. Retail tenants have not yet been announced.

Project consultants include Large Architecture, Dianna Wong Architecture + Interior Design and a joint venture construction team consisting of AECOM and Wilshire Construction.
