KT Urban Proposes 1.3M-SF Complex in Downtown San Jose
Cupertino-based KT Urban is proposing an office complex in Downtown San Jose totaling as much as 1.3 million square feet. The site at 276 Woz Way is near the convention center, the Children’s Discovery Museum, and the Guadalupe River.
KT Urban’s Mark Tersini told the San Jose Mercury-News, “It’s going to be a phenomenal project. It has great freeway identity, it’s close to light rail, the Discovery Museum, the park, the convention center, and the ability to get to Diridon Station is very easy and walkable.”
The developer views office as the preferred asset class for the site now, though if market trends shift, it could evolve into a mix of office and hotel uses. KT Urban has secured purchase agreements with the current property owners for nearly 20 parcels, to assemble land needed for the development on what is now a residential block.
Portland-based C2K Architecture is designing the office development.
