Kroger Marketplace Advances in Keller

Kroger recently presented plans for a Kroger’s Marketplace on 16.3 acres at 1025 Keller Parkway. The plans were approved by the town’s planning commission. The town’s council will vote on the matter next month.

There is currently a standard-sized Kroger’s at 976 Keller Parkway. It would close. Kroger says it’s cheaper to build a new store. The proposed store will be approximately 100,000 square feet.

Community Impact reports three existing structures on the property will remain. Shannon Brewing Company, which closed in 2023, would be reactivated with a new brewery tenant planned. The other buildings were Harvest Christian Center Church and the Samantha Springs water bottling plant. The bottling plant and church would be repurposed for new uses.

Kroger Marketplace is a large-format, multi-department store that combines a traditional supermarket with an expanded selection of general merchandise, apparel, home goods, and specialty services
