Kroger Keeping Pace in N. Texas Grocery Wars

H-E-B and Gordon Food Service have been dominating the news when it comes to competition in North Texas for your food dollar. Don’t count out Kroger. Three new Kroger Marketplace stores, their version of a super store, will be coming to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex in 2024. Shoppers in Plano, Fort Worth and Melissa will soon have new Kroger stores to visit for their grocery shopping, and more. Kroger’s Marketplace format provides multi-department stores, offering expanded general merchandise—including outdoor living, electronics, home goods, apparel and toys—along with full service grocery and pharmacy.

“We are excited to bring these stores to areas with booming growth and a need for access to fresh food and essential items,” Kroger’s Keith Shoemaker.

Specific addresses and additional information on the stores will have to wait until the chain is ready to announce a groundbreaking event.
