Kroger Announces $180M Michigan Investment

Kroger Co. of Michigan has announced it is making a $180 million investment in the state which will, in turn, lead to creation of 1,000 new jobs. The investment will be directed toward building new stores and rehabs of existing ones.

The three new Michigan locations will be in Royal Oak, White Lake Township and Shelby Township. Also indicated is “extensive remodeling” at 11 existing stores, six new fuel centers, and 22 new ClickList sites. ClickList allows shoppers to pick up online orders, without having to get out of their cars.

Specific groundbreaking or opening dates of the stores were not released. Nor did Kroger indicate how many of the jobs would be part-time, temporary or full-time.
