Klein Enterprises Buys Largo Development Site for 379-Unit Multifamily with Retail

Klein Enterprises is developing a project with 379 Class A apartments and accompanying retail at the intersection of Grand Boulevard and Ascend Lane in the Baltimore submarket of Largo, MD.

Klein purchased the site, across from the Largo Town Center Metro station, from PNGS in an off-market transaction. General contracting services for the development will be performed by Chesapeake Contracting Group.

Klein intends to pursue several green initiatives including a rooftop solar system that would meet standards for LEED Certification. Community amenities will include a pool, 24-hour fitness center, resident lounge, dog park and pet spa, BBQ grilling areas, and electric vehicle charging stations.

The site is located in an opportunity zone that is designated for investment and also benefits from proximity to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center, the $1 billion Carillon mixed-use development, the Ella medical office complex, the underway Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission building.

About Lisa McDuffie

Lisa McDuffie arrives at ConnectCRE via REALTOR® world, where she served for nearly two decades as communications director for one of the nation’s largest REALTOR® organizations. She supported two membership-elected presidents who were commercial real estate practitioners, and managed the communications initiatives of the organization’s commercial special interest group. When not following the latest commercial real estate news, Lisa is zeroed in on her charismatic off-the-track thoroughbred as she makes the transition from an utterly failed racehorse to a lovely show hunter.
