KKR Expands SoCal Portfolio with Otay Mesa Zurich Deal
KKR acquired Three Piper Ranch, an industrial distribution property consisting of two buildings totaling roughly 330,000 square feet in San Diego. The property at 1210 Air Wing Rd. expands the New York-based firm’s industrial real estate footprint in SoCal to about 2.4 million square feet.
The newly acquired property was built in 2007 and features 32-foot clear heights. It is located in the Otay Mesa submarket of San Diego with excellent access to SR-125, SR-905, I-805 and I-5. The property was 100% leased at acquisition to five separate tenants.
KKR purchased the property from Zurich Alternative Asset Management, LLC and CBRE Capital Markets helped to broker the sale.
KKR made the investment through its Real Estate Partners Americas II Fund. KKR owns nearly 32 million square feet of industrial property across its funds, in strategic locations in major U.S. metro areas.
