Kings of Kobe Pop-Up Goes Permanent
Food vendor Kings of Kobe has found a home, signing a 10-year, 600-square-foot lease on a storefront at 790 Ninth Ave.
“They gained a loyal following when they operated out of a pop-up takeout window on the side of Pounds & Ounces NYC Pub, and I’m delighted that we found a permanent space for them on Ninth Avenue’s Restaurant Row, where I know they will thrive,” said Jeff Geoghegan, director for Eastern Consolidated’s Retail Leasing Division.
Pounds & Ounces closed last year, but Kings of Kobe lives on in Manhattan’s Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood. “The entrepreneurial founders of Kings of Kobe are reinventing the hot dog and hamburger and New York City loves them for it,” Geoghegan said.
