Kimpton Hotel On the Rise in San Antonio
The first-ever Kimpton hotel in San Antonio is starting to take shape. The hotel is anticipated to open in late 2024.
The new 10-story Kimpton hotel will be located at 423 S Alamo in downtown San Antonio. It will feature 347 rooms, a high-end restaurant, lobby bar, rooftop pool and lounge and more. In addition to luxury guest suites, the new Kimpton will also have more than 10,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space. Kimpton is joining forces with White Lodging on the project. They are working with HKS Architects and KTGY Simeone Deary Design Group. It will include the restoration of an 1850s historic schoolhouse that currently resides on the property, which also features 100-plus-year-old trees in the courtyard.
“We’ve seen tremendous success in our sister properties in Texas – in Austin, Fort Worth and Dallas,” said Kimpton’s Jeremy Wilhide. “This state has a wonderful sense of hospitality so coming to San Antonio made all the sense in the world.”
