Kilroy Buys Land, Plans One-Acre Office Campus in Little Italy

Kilroy Realty Corporation purchased of a full city block in San Diego’s Little Italy submarket for $19.4 million. The Los Angeles-based firm plans to develop 2100 Kettner, a six-story, low-rise 209,000-square-foot Class A office project. It will be its first in the downtown market.

The development is being designed by Gensler Architects to also include six street level retail/restaurant suites, multiple terraces, a 10,688-square-foot rooftop deck for office tenants as well as 267 parking spaces. Key amenities include a 2,000-square-foot public outdoor living room space. 2100 Kettner is targeted for LEED Platinum certification.

The one-acre parcel is located in the heart of downtown at 2100-2174 Kettner Blvd., and was sold by several families who had owned the land for nearly a century. Earlier this month, the project received unanimous approval from Civic San Diego, and is slated for delivery in early 2021.
