Killeen OK’s 200 Acre Mixed-Use Project

CSW Construction has received zoning for a 200 acre mixed-use project in Killeen. The town’s city council approved the plan, which would include 39 acres of commercial and retail space; 9 acres of office, flex and storage space; 92 acres of multifamily apartments; and 63 acres of built-to-rent mixed residential.

CSW says much of the work will be done on Anthem Park’s commercial properties within three to five years from the start of construction, which is expected before the end of this year.

CSW says it could be complete residential properties within five to 10 years. Residential projects are also expected to begin by the end of the year.ย The park could generate more than $124 million in sales revenue for the city through 2041. The project is in a Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone. Taxes attributable to new improvements (tax increments) are set-aside in a fund to finance public improvements within the boundaries of the zone.
