Kiehl’s Lands at Victoria Gardens
New York-based Kiehl’s is opening its first stand-alone store in the Inland Empire at Victoria Gardens in Rancho Cucamonga, CA. The company’s skin and hair care products have been sold locally at Nordstrom in Montclair, CA and Riverside, CA.
The company plans to mirror the apothecary heritage ambiance of its original flagship store in New York, including Mr. Bones the skeleton (representing Kiehl’s pharmaceutical heritage), a smattering of test tubes under chandeliers and neon lighting. Kiehl’s traces its roots back to a neighborhood apothecary in 1851.
Today, the company offers a full line of skin, hair and body care for women, men, children and even dogs. California is a key market for Kiehl’s growth, and has gained customers from the state at both physical and online stores.
