KidZania Targets Frisco for First U.S. Opening
Mexico-headquartered KidZania is moving north of the border, and has established its U.S. headquarters in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. In addition, the company will open its first kid-oriented education and entertainment center in fall 2019, at Stonebriar Centre in Frisco, TX.
KidZania offers kid-size cities, which allow participants to role-pay in various, realistic simulations, such as fire-fighting, flying airplanes, designing robots and performing surgery. Each KidZania, measuring approximately 80,000 square feet, is specifically tailored to the city in which it is located.
The company, founded in 1999, currently has 27 locations in 21 countries. Locations are scheduled to open in Chicago and New York in 2020, and Los Angeles in 2021.
